Description: One of the biggest challenges for therapists in private practice is their relationship with money. Therapists often feel woefully unprepared for the business aspects of owning a private practice and struggle to find the time needed to figure it all out. In this training, we’ll cover the basics of business finance.
You’ll learn:
- Establishing a financial system that works for you
- What to do weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly to stay financially organized
- How to prepare for tax time and what you need to know about deductions
- Low-cost resources that help make managing finances easier and less time-consuming.

Who will be facilitating the workshop and what are their credentials?
Larissa Brown, MS will be facilitating this workshop. Larissa has a graduate degree in Family Therapy, had a successful private practice as a Marriage & Family Therapist for several years, and now has a successful coaching practice. When it comes to the ins-and-outs of business she estimates that she has invested at least 200 hundred hours in classes, seminars, webinars, and personal research. She created the “Becoming an LLC in Maine” webinar and has received nothing but positive feedback from attendees.
