I know you’re a kick ass therapist, now let me help you become a savvy business owner.

Your education has provided the skills you need to be a competent and capable mental health practitioner, but it was probably lacking when it came to business management skills. That’s where I can help. Once upon a time, I was in your shoes. I jumped into a private practice and then realized just how underprepared I was. So, I went about figuring it out. I spent
hundreds of hours reading, researching, attending trainings, meeting with mentors, seeking guidance from specialists in various fields, and LOTS of trial-and-error. I have used all of this knowledge to build not one, but two successful private practices. Now I want to share it with you so you can spend your time and energy doing what you do best… working with your clients.

I always dreamed of running my own business, something that became an even higher priority of mine after welcoming my two children into my life. I wanted to have as much control as possible over my schedule so I could create a work/home balance that worked for me. After completing my Family Therapy degree and obtaining my license I found ways to open my own private practice right away.
Those first few years weren’t the easiest. There was a LOT that I didn’t know and so many times I found myself wishing that my master’s program had included more (any?) education on the basics of running a business. Between trainings, workshops, conferences, reading, research, consulting specialists, and a fair amount of trial-and-error, I spent hundreds of hours going about the overwhelming task of figuring it out. From building websites to social media marketing; SEO to marketing funnels; managing finances to cost efficient resources, and so much more, I took a deep dive into the complexities of being self-employed.
I built a thriving therapy practice but as it grew and evolved, I realized I needed a change. Transitioning to coaching has allowed me to work with more flexibility while my therapy background continues to inform my quality practice. It was a big risk, deciding to start over and rebuild everything from the beginning, but I was able to apply many of the same business strategies and I’m thankful to say that I once again have a bustling business that provides for me financially and with the flexibility I cherish.
Now I’m using the things I’ve learned to help guide clinicians like you into successful practices of their own without having to figure it out all yourself. Saving you precious time, money, and energy.

Working with clients has always fed my soul but once I became a mom, I knew I had to be more mindful of how I spent my time an energy. My mission became finding a balance a between a career I loved and being the mom I had always envisioned being. So I started a private practice.
